Beautifully decorated and fitted out - we had everything we needed

We had a fantastic stay at Bishop Fell. The whole house was beautifully decorated and fitted out and we had everything we needed. There was a lovely welcome pack from our lovely host Jane which was much appreciated. Our American friends really enjoyed making use of the health club which was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend the house to anyone who is interested in booking it.
An Absolute Gem – The Perfect Getaway!

We have just returned home from an absolutely wonderful holiday at Bishop Fell, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The property itself is incredibly spacious and comfortable, allowing us all to completely relax from the moment we walked through the door. It is also exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a stress-free stay—the owners have really thought of every single detail to make it feel like a home away from home. A massive bonus for us was the lovely little park located right next door to the property. It was safe, convenient, and kept the kids entertained for hours on end, which made our stay even more relaxing. On top of the fantastic property, the owners were absolutely wonderful. They were so welcoming, helpful, and attentive, making us feel completely valued as guests. Thank you for a beautiful stay. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be looking to return!
Very luxurious with everything you could need

This is a fabulous house, very luxurious with everything you could need. It looks exactly like the photos if not better! We were a family of three generations and it was an ideal property for us all. The garden is three tiers therefore a little challenging for those with mobility issues but this does not detract from the property at all. Jane was fantastic and happy to be contacted if any issues...there were none as everything was perfect. There was a lovely basket of goodies and milk for us on arrival. Jane sent a message with with places to eat etc prior to our arrival which was a great help. E we were ideally situated for both Ulverston and Windermere. I would 100% recommend this property.
A magical Christmas stay!

We stayed at Bishop Fell to bring the family together over the Christmas week and proved to be a huge success with lots of memories made. The house was extremely comfortable and furnished to a high quality. The house was always cosy and warm and we appreciated personal check-in from Jane, welcome hamper and Christmas decorations. The kitchen had everything you needed, including two ovens, two fridges and all Le Creuset cookware and crockery. Beds were comfortable and always provided a good night sleep and sofa large enough for everyone to sit together. The house was in a great location for exploring the Lakes, we used the complimentary leisure access at the whitewater hotel to take the little one swimming, the play park next door and walks from the village and slightly further afield (West Windermere Way). All the family said they'd return again for a future stay.
Fantastic cottage with a truly luxury feel - a real gem!

We were blown away by the quality of every element of the house ...Decoration throughout was beautiful and extremely well thought out. Facilities were ideal for groups/families staying together ...Self catered most meals most days while we stayed and found the kitchen to be exceptionally well equipped compared to many other holiday cottages I have stayed in before. Owner was really helpful with suggestions for walks and restaurants etc both before arrival and during our stay. ...Great location in the lakes for exploring ...Covid-19 precautions were all also dealt with in a very efficient manner.
If you're looking for luxury...

We stayed in this beautiful property for New Year and so pleased we chose Bishop Fell. Newly renovated and furnished to an amazingly high standard, start to finish, the owners have literally thought of everything. Perfect for larger families, and having bedrooms downstairs also was a plus with great disability access, shower and we on ground floor.

We booked this property to celebrate my Mums 60th birthday and we were not disappointed! The house is stunning and extremely well equipped - no expense has been spared. Ideal for extended families and the host Jane is great and looked after us very well with a lovely package of local goodies on arrival and great communication both prior to and after our stay. Bishop Fell is in the Lake District National Park, in a lovely village which is a perfect choice to enjoy the Lake District’s natural beauty and hidden Gems, with many attractions and activities on the doorstep and lovely country pubs tucked away for you to explore. Lovely local walks from the door and mountain bike tracks in the area.
